Bad belt? car is making a terrible whirring noise?

I just changed the serpentine belt this summer so i don't know how it could be it. What else could make this noise though. The car is a 1995 grand am v6 3.1. the faster the rpms climb the worse the sound gets, so i suppose thats what it is.

i guess i better get this fixed quick, i don't like driving my 2000 camaro around town with a 3600 stall converter in it.

I'd say it sounds similar to the car in this video though....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPB29LuKABad belt? car is making a terrible whirring noise?
the pulley that tighens it all most likey they lock up every now and then or the bearings go bad might want to check it out same way you remove belt and shake the pulley or try spinning it by hand id bet thats itBad belt? car is making a terrible whirring noise?
